Job description

Solotech has vacancies for a full-time Live Productions Goods In Assistant at its warehouse in Birmingham. The role involves working as part of a larger team in a high-paced, dynamic environment, prioritising the de-preparation of all assets when they return to our new facility in Blythe Valley, Solihull. While warehouse experience is advantageous, a strong interest in the world of audio is key to fulfilling this role.

Your day will look like this:

1. The ‘scanning in’ and de-preparation of mixing consoles, speakers, and associated cable systems, signal patching systems, and mains distribution systems.
2. Working with the warehouse management team and Solotech’s bespoke asset tracking software to ensure all assets from each job have returned.
3. Immediately reporting to managers any anomalies, lost, stolen, or damaged equipment.
4. Assisting with the tipping of courier/internal transport vehicles and distributing goods across the building.
5. Ensuring and maintaining the efficient flow of large quantities of equipment around the warehouse.
6. Identifying and developing improvements to performance and processes through continuous improvement work.
7. Performing any other reasonable ad-hoc requests as required by management.
8. Willingness and ability to learn quickly.
9. Competent with the use of computers and databases.
10. Initiative and the ability to work unsupervised, whilst recognizing when to ask questions.
11. Flexible and adaptable with the ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure – the role is fast-paced, with several jobs unloading simultaneously.
12. A strong interest in the pro audio industry.
13. Audio industry experience is advantageous.
14. Experience working within a similar role or industry is preferable but not essential.

Level of qualifications:

• Five GCSEs A-C including Maths and English.

Work Experience:

• One year’s experience working in a warehouse.
• Right to work and remain in the UK.
