A leading manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector for a 6-month contract in London. The role involves conducting goods receiving inspections, managing gauge calibrations, and providing technical support. Ideal candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in mechanical inspection and a completed mechanical engineering apprenticeship. On-site work is required in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in goods-in/mechanical inspection.
  • Strong familiarity with CMM inspection.
  • Knowledge of mechanical components & machining processes.
  • Strong computer literacy for QA IT systems.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct goods receiving inspection of mechanical components.
  • Administer gauge calibration with external test houses.
  • Provide problem-solving support for the shop floor.
  • Generate paperwork to route components within the company.

Contract Quality Inspector Manufacturing (Inside IR35, 6-Month Contract)

Are you an experienced Quality Inspector looking for your next contract role? A leading manufacturing business is seeking a skilled professional to join their team on a 6-month contract, working inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

Goods receiving inspection of mechanical components using standard inspection equipment.
Gauge calibration administration with external test houses and in-house pressure gauge calibration.
Special inspection services for specific customer requirements.
Paperwork generation to route components within the company.
Liaising with Purchasing & Suppliers to resolve component issues.
Problem-solving & technical support for the shop floor.
Providing QA function back-up during absences.

Candidate Requirements:

3 years of experience in goods-in/mechanical inspection.
Strong familiarity with CMM inspection.
Good secondary school education, ideally to A-Level standard.
Preferably a completed mechanical engineering apprenticeship.
Knowledge of mechanical components & machining processes.
Proficient in using manual inspection equipment.
Strong computer literacy, including Word & Excel for QA IT systems.

Location: On-site (Manufacturing Environment)
Contract Duration: 6 months (Inside IR35)
