Mad Swans is looking for a full-time Golf Team Leader to join our budding team. You'll be the first person to step into these shoes and shape this brand-new role based at our first site: Mad Swans in the Mendips.

What there is to it:

As this is a brand-new role for a new opening, you'll take the lead in bringing energy, organisation, and expert coordination to our golf offering supporting guests playing golf, inspiring your team, and setting the standard for a fun, friendly, on-court experiences from day one.

The key duties and responsibilities of this role will include:

• Acting as a Mad Swans ambassador for golf, actively encouraging participation and creating a fun, welcoming atmosphere.
• Assisting with guest enquiries and acting as a key point of contact for guests interested in Golf, The Swing Barn, or The Putt Patch.
• Overseeing the Golf, The Swing Barn, and The Putt Patch sections and ensuring we deliver an excellent level of guest service.
• Being very hands-on and active within the team on a day-to-day basis.
• Assisting with new bookings and changes.
• Issuing and collecting golf clubs, putters, drivers, irons, golf balls, and any sports equipment to guests.
• Overseeing the Golf Buggies when they are hired out, ensuring disclaimers are completed before Golf Buggies are used and charging them up on a daily basis.
• Ensuring all golf clubs, putters, drivers, irons, golf balls, and sports equipment are looked after, stored appropriately, and replaced when required.
• Ensuring The Swing Barn and The Putt Patch are clean, tidy, and well presented at all times.
• Reviewing daily bookings, lessons, societies, and events for guests in The Swing Barn and The Putt Patch.
• Proactively upselling to guests, including food, drinks, and other activities.
• Promoting our Mad Swans Loyalty Programme.
• Managing a small team which will work across all areas of the Sports Team.
• Ensuring the Sports Team is well presented, following all standard operating procedures and delivering excellent guest service.
• Working closely with the Sports Manager, Racquets Team Leader, and Retail Team Leader and covering other areas of the Sports Department as and when required.
• Assisting in the Retail Shop when required.

This is a full-time permanent position and will work any five days out of seven. The salary for this role is circa £30,000/annum.

Location: this is an onsite role and will be located at Mad Swans in the Mendips, Marsh Lane, Farrington Gurney, Bristol, BS39 6TS.

Working Hours: shift times will vary throughout the week; however, the operational times will be from 7.00 am to 10.00 pm.

Working Days: this role will work any five days out of seven and will involve working on weekends on a regular basis. Working hours will vary in line with the operating calendar and needs of the business.

We are looking for a Golf Team Leader who is:

• Passionate about delivering a high level of guest service.
• Interested and passionate about golf.
• Experienced in dealing with guests.
• Excited about being part of a new concept, new brand, and new opening.
• Happy to be hands-on and assist with the day-to-day duties as part of a small team.
• Flexible in terms of covering the Racquets Team Leader and Retail Team Leader when they are not working.
• Confident, outgoing, and well-presented.
• Self-driven and highly motivated.
• Happy and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive and positive by nature.

Comfortable working in a very fast-paced environment.
