What’s the role?
Formby Hall Golf Resort & Spa is seeking an ambitious and driven Golf Sales Manager to lead the strategic development and growth of our golf sales channel, with a particular focus on managing key accounts across the golf tour operator market. This is a proactive, field-based role designed to increase revenue, market share, and brand visibility both domestically and internationally.
As a brand ambassador, you will represent Formby Hall at key trade shows, golf exhibitions, and networking events, while also hosting familiarisation trips and site inspections to showcase our award-winning resort. Your objective will be to build strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective partners, and drive golf business to the resort across all segments.
Key Responsibilities:
Key Account Management:
Act as the principal contact for all golf tour operators, maintaining and growing strong relationships to ensure repeat business and increased market share.
New Business Development:
Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities across UK and international golf markets, including niche, luxury, and group travel sectors.
Sales Strategy & Planning:
Contribute to the development and execution of the golf sales strategy in line with revenue targets and wider business goals.
Representation & Events:
Represent Formby Hall at golf travel trade shows, tourism exhibitions, sales blitzes, and industry networking events across the UK and overseas.
FAM Trips & Site Inspections:
Plan, coordinate and host familiarisation visits, ensuring guests experience the full value of Formby Hall’s golf, accommodation, dining, and spa offerings.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with the Reservations, Marketing, Operations, and Revenue teams to ensure seamless communication, promotion, and delivery of the golf product.
Market Intelligence:
Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and customer feedback to ensure Formby Hall remains competitive and relevant in the marketplace.
Reporting & Analysis:
Maintain accurate records of all sales activity and produce regular performance reports, forecasts, and ROI evaluations for senior management.
