Every day your backdrop will be an iconic Scottish championship links stretching over 7000 yards from the back tees. An original Willie Campbell design dating back to 1891 and redesigned in 2018 by David J. Russell to modern championship standards, this course is now designed to be played in all conditions.

The perfect links terrain is set on unique dunelands bordering on the magnificent Laggan Bay in Islay.

Working alongside the golf operations supervisor and golf general manager, as golf operations starter you will help with developing and providing products and supporting services we provide to all guests to exceed customer expectations.

What your days could look like:

  1. Tee sheet processing - starter check-in on system.
  2. Golf retail - ensuring the upkeep and cleanliness of the golf starter facility. Ensuring attractive merchandising and inventory management in line with company SOPs.
  3. Golf events - support management with general preparations and administration of golf events.
  4. Rental/equipment hire - ensure all equipment is clean, in good working order, stored correctly and set up as per Company SOPs.
  5. Outdoor services - maintain the cleanliness of outdoor golf areas, preparation of golf carts, ensuring the golf ball machine has a supply of clean golf balls, cleaning and collection of golf balls.

Job skills and requirements:

  1. Golf qualification or certification is preferred.
  2. Valid driver's license is preferred.
  3. A good general knowledge of golf.
  4. Prior experience in hotel, retail or customer service is preferred.
  5. Good time management and teamwork abilities.
  6. Ability to work under pressure.
  7. Ability to work on own initiative.
