Our corporate philosophy, the Kao Way, guides us in everything we do - acting with integrity, courageously driving innovation, and treating each other with trust and respect.

Are you a passionate and talented hair colourist, eager to develop new skills and inspire others in the salon environment? Do you have a desire to help others grow their skillsets? Join us as a Colour-Focused Salon Educator in a dynamic, remote, and field-based role.

Kao Salon is home to iconic brands like Goldwell, KERASILK, KMS, Oribe, and VARIS. We're committed to enriching the lives of hair stylists, salon owners, and their clients. Together, we're making life more beautiful with our salon brands, products, and services.

About the Role: Colour-Focused Salon Educator – covering Scotland, Northern England, and Northern Ireland.

As a Salon Educator, you must enjoy driving and be prepared to stay away from home, working a comprehensive journey plan. You will engage with salon owners and staff, build strong relationships, and drive loyalty to the Kao Salon Division Portfolio. Your role will be pivotal in training and developing hairdressers' skills, ensuring they achieve the best results for their clients using Goldwell products. You'll also work closely with the sales team to identify and convert new salons to Goldwell.

You will be the trusted link between our brand and the salons, leveraging your real-world hairdressing, expert colour, and retail experience to foster long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train and support hairdressers in using Kao Salon Division products, enhancing skills in both existing and new accounts in your region.
  • Engage with salon teams and collaborate with sales to deliver best practices and prioritise customer needs.
  • Present new products, promotions, and education opportunities at internal and external meetings.
  • Plan and manage your area to ensure effective and productive coverage.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay up-to-date with industry trends and Kao's offerings.
  • Act as a positive Brand Ambassador, representing Kao at industry events and supporting Kao Salon Division events when required.
  • Complete all required reports and documentation accurately.

What We're Looking For:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Hairdressing.
  • Minimum 5 years of salon experience with proven expertise in hair colouring and hair care products.
  • Experience in training others, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid UK Driver's Licence.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and professional with a strong technical understanding of hair colouring.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.

What We Offer: At Kao, we support our employees with a range of benefits, including:

  • Company car and company card.
  • Flexible working and competitive compensation packages.
  • Pension and insurance plans.
  • 25 days holiday, plus your birthday off, with the option to buy up to 5 extra days (pro-rata).

Hiring Process: Kao values diversity and individuality, believing equal opportunity and inclusion make us stronger. We welcome applications from all areas of the global community.
