Job summary

Newcastle United is seeking a Positional Scouting Analyst – (Goalkeepers) to deliver detailed video and live analysis across markets. You’ll support emerging talent and First Team recruitment with evidence that informs transfer planning.

You’ll work with Head of Scouting Analysis, data team and international scouts to build clear evidence that guides recruitment decisions, aiming to raise the bar in a high-performance culture.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of football game models, playing styles and positional profiles.
• Experience analysing player potential and performance, including emerging talent.
• High attention to detail with the ability to turn insight into clear recommendations.
• Experience using industry analysis and video editing software.
• Experience working within an elite football or sports environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyse prospective target players using video, data and live observation where required.
• Create evidence-based clips and reports aligned to our positional profiles and recruitment framework.
• Identify new potential targets and ensure they move quickly through the recruitment workflow.
• Use industry-standard software to support clear insight (Wyscout, Hudl, Sportscode).
• Upload and manage reports and presentations across internal digital platforms.
• Work flexibly to meet deadlines and the demands of the football calendar.
