Role Overview

As a System Engineer within the System team, you will help innovate and develop systems, subsystems, and features for our Simulation and Navigation Products based on leading-edge technology. Your work will drive the next generation of Spirent Communications products in the Positioning Technology Line of Business.

Qualifications

We seek a candidate who can analyze requirements, design, and implement optimal algorithms and software solutions for our PT products and services, working closely with our software development team.

Required
  • Degree in Mathematics, System Modelling, Physics, or related discipline.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including mathematical modeling applied to real-world problems.
  • Experience with software development and analysis tools such as Python, Matlab, C++, supporting Spirent’s coding standards.
  • Ability to deliver functional blocks and features, define and execute test plans for verification and quality assurance.
  • Participation in the system development lifecycle from design to validation.
  • A collaborative, positive attitude, eagerness to learn, self-motivation, good communication, and documentation skills.
Desired
  • Experience with positioning data analysis techniques to enhance system performance.
  • Knowledge of RF signal path transmission and modeling.
  • Experience in digital 3D mapping, modeling, and tools such as Cesium, Blender, QGIS.
  • Background in GNSS fused Position Engine development and analysis, including GNSS hardware/software, RTK, inertial data fusion, and navigation systems.
  • Experience with Position and Measurement Engine design for GPS, Galileo, Beidou, Glonass, QZSS.
