As a System Engineer within the System team, you will help innovate and develop systems, subsystems, and features for our Simulation and Navigation Products based on leading-edge technology. This role will drive the next generation of Spirent Communications products in the Positioning Technology Line of Business.

Qualifications

We are seeking a System Engineer to work closely with our software development team. The ideal candidate will understand and analyze requirements, then design and implement optimal algorithms and software solutions to contribute to the development of PT products and services.

Required

  • Degree in a relevant discipline such as Mathematics, System Modelling, Physics, or Positioning.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to develop, analyze, and prototype ideas and concepts for new features and products; experience in mathematical modeling applied to real-world problems.
  • Ability to support analysis through software and tools development, including Python, Matlab, C++, adhering to Spirent’s coding standards and development cycle.
  • Deliver functional blocks and features for integration into Spirent products; define, implement, and execute test plans to verify requirements and ensure quality.
  • Contribute to the system development lifecycle from design through implementation and validation.
  • Strong team player with a collaborative and positive attitude, eager to learn new technologies, self-motivated, with good interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.

Desired

  • Experience with positioning data analysis techniques to assess and improve system performance.
  • Knowledge of RF signal path transmission and modeling.
  • Experience in digital 3D mapping, modeling, and development tools such as Cesium, Blender, and QGIS.
  • Background in GNSS fused Position Engine development and analysis, including GNSS hardware/software, RTK, inertial data fusion, and navigation systems.
  • Experience in designing and delivering Position and Measurement Engines covering GPS, Galileo, Beidou, Glonass, and QZSS.
