Job summary

RBW Consulting partners with a healthcare manufacturing site in the UK to recruit an Improvement Maintenance Engineer for an early-career path. The role blends hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance with involvement in continuous improvement projects within a highly regulated GMP environment.

You will support planned and reactive maintenance, contribute to equipment upgrades, and help develop technical documentation while working closely with Production, Quality and Engineering teams to

Qualifications

• Qualified in mechanical or electrical engineering (degree or equivalent).
• Interest in maintenance, manufacturing and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Support planned preventative and reactive maintenance across manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
• Assist with equipment upgrades, modifications and improvement projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and manufacturing performance.
• Participate in root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, maintenance records and technical documentation.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with GMP and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain audit trails and support inspection readiness.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality and Engineering teams to drive operational excellence.
