Job summary

PCI Pharma Services in the UK seeks a Multi-skilled Engineer to ensure top-tier quality and GMP‑compliant operations at PCI Tredegar. You will resolve issues, support maintenance programs, and minimize downtime while improving reliability and performance across production and utilities.

You will participate in PPMS, train staff as needed, and coordinate with contractors to maintain documentation and compliance in a fast-paced pharma environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in electrical engineering with a practical, hands-on approach (experience in mechanical engineering also considered).
• Background in the pharmaceutical industry (preferred but not essential).
• Proven ability to thrive in an operational setting and resolve complex technical issues.
• Strong understanding of preventive maintenance systems (PPM).
• Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
• A team player with strong communication abilities (both verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service all manufacturing, packaging, and utility equipment involved in product production at PCI Tredegar.
• Support equipment set-up and changeovers, and provide training to appropriate staff as needed.
• Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns efficiently to minimise downtime and product loss, working independently when required.
• Contribute to and carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), ensuring all relevant documentation and SOPs are followed.
• Monitor and maintain performance of critical utilities and process equipment in a cGMP environment, including repairs, calibrations, and adjustments.
• Liaise with internal departments and third‑party contractors to schedule maintenance and ensure timely completion of associated documentation.
