Glyncollen Primary School: 2 x Temporary Teachers

The Headteacher and Governing Body of Glyncollen Primary School are seeking to appoint two excellent classroom practitioners to join our hardworking team from September 2025.

We Are Looking For

Glyncollen Primary is seeking a passionate and excellent classroom practitioner with a sound understanding of how children learn, particularly through Foundation Learning pedagogical approaches in line with the Enabling Learners principles. We are looking for two teachers who can lead by example, inspire and challenge pupils, and work collaboratively as part of our team. Experience in music, performance, or other creative subjects would be beneficial. We are looking for teachers who can inspire, challenge pupils, and work well as part of our team. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit, helping to develop a dynamic, real-world curriculum.

We are looking for someone who can:

  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner who understands how children learn.
  • Have high expectations for the learning, behaviour, and care of all pupils.
  • Have an excellent understanding of the current and developing Curriculum for Wales.
  • Have a clear understanding of developing learner voice, pupil-led learning, and improving wellbeing.
  • Be innovative and creative in their approach to teaching and learning.
  • Have a clear understanding of formative and summative assessments and tracking children's progress.
  • Be committed, hard-working, and keen to contribute to the wider life of the school, including after-school clubs and parental workshops.
  • Have effective ICT and Welsh language skills and use these to enhance learning.
  • Be well-organised and highly motivated.
  • Work extremely well as part of a team.
  • Have good organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with a sense of humour.
  • Support senior leaders by developing workshops for parents/carers relevant to school priorities.
  • Continue to build upon Glyncollen's approach to developing Cynefin, including extending strong links with the community.
