Job summary

Via Westminster Drug Project is recruiting a drug and alcohol recovery practitioner for our Gloucestershire Service. You will work closely with Probation, the courts, housing, mental health and other partners to support service users and engage them through assessments and referrals.

The role focuses on harm reduction, compassionate engagement, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, supported by an enhanced DBS check.

Qualifications

• Experience in criminal justice or recovery work is preferred.
• Ability to liaise with probation, courts, housing, mental health and other agencies.
• Enhanced DBS status is required prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Engage individuals with court orders (CSTR) to offer support, advice and interventions.
• Facilitate referrals into community services and carry out assessments with VIA hub teams.
• Support harm-reduction advice and liaise with housing, clinical and mental health teams.
• Contribute to a positive, compassionate service for service users and families.
