Job Description:

The Foundation

The Dove Foundation for Global Change is an international charity dedicated to advancing access to health, education, economic opportunity, and safety for women and young people around the world.

We believe that meaningful change must happen both from the top down and the bottom up — through policy reform, grassroots action, and international collaboration. Our work spans engaging with governments, multilateral organisations, and industry leaders, while also delivering regionally focused programmes that directly impact communities. Our vision is a world where everyone has the opportunity to live a life of decent quality. To achieve this, we promote the inclusion of women in all policies.

Charity commission number: 1210688

The Role

We are creating a Global Youth Advisory Board to help guide the work of the Foundation across all of our programmes and strategy. We are seeking 1–2 young leaders from each global region to join this founding board. Members will play a critical role in shaping our strategies, conducting research, and developing regional perspectives to ensure our work reflects the realities and needs of communities around the world.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and analysis to support the Foundation’s policy development, programmes, and campaigns
  • Draft regional briefs and contribute to global policy recommendations for governments, multilateral organisations, and industry leaders
  • Create region-specific approaches to health, education, economic empowerment, and violence prevention
  • Advise Foundation trustees and leadership on emerging trends, needs, and opportunities in your region
  • Participate in regular virtual meetings and collaborate with a global team of young changemakers
  • Represent the Dove Foundation’s mission within your networks and community and abroad

Essential skills and experience

  • Presently working for an Intergovernmental organisation (e.g. UN) or a government, governmental department, agency or membership body (e.g. trade associations and unions). Working for a global firm may also be considered.
  • Strong interest in global development, women's rights, public policy, education, health, or social change
  • Research and writing skills with the ability to summarise complex issues clearly
  • Strong organisational skills, reliability, and a self-driven work ethic
  • Previous involvement in youth leadership, advocacy, research, or non-profit activities is a plus, but not required
  • Knowledge related to challenges facing women and young people in your region.
