Job summary

Adecco Group UK & Ireland is seeking a VAT Compliance Specialist to manage VAT reporting and compliance across European and international jurisdictions. The role focuses on VAT returns, support for tax technology projects, and continuous improvement within a dynamic, multinational environment.

Located in Chester with hybrid working, the role requires a proactive individual who stays up to date with VAT legislation and can provide guidance on compliance and process improvements.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience in VAT compliance within a multinational environment or similar.
• Strong knowledge of VAT compliance processes and requirements.
• Excellent Excel skills.
• Experience using SAP or Oracle would be advantageous.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly and annual VAT returns.
• Complete other indirect tax filings including EC Sales Lists, Intrastat declarations, domestic listings, purchase listings and SAF-T reporting.
• Coordinate and obtain VAT submission approvals from relevant stakeholders.
• Support VAT audits and liaise with tax authorities when required.
• Monitor legislative changes and assess their impact on compliance processes.
