Job summary

JSS in London is seeking a Treasury Assistant on a fixed-term contract to support the finance team and help deliver the treasury strategy by paying clients, brokers and suppliers accurately and on time.

The role requires 1–2 years in finance, exposure to banking platforms, and strong Excel skills. You will assist with payments, intercompany transfers, and maintain the treasury mailbox with a focus on service quality.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ experience in a finance function, ideally in insurance.
• Experience with banking platforms/systems.
• Proficient in MS Excel and AI tools.
• Strong communication and influencing skills.
• Able to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Process manual payments with required documents and SLAs.
• Understand the EMEA entity structure and cross-border payments across 300+ accounts.
• Maintain the Treasury payment log and the Approval Rota.
• Assist with daily intercompany transfers to ensure correct account and currency.
• Co-manage the Treasury mailbox to deliver excellent service.
• Upload bank statements to SAP within specified timescales.
• Assist the Treasury & Accounts Payable Manager with audit queries.
• Cross-train the Treasury operations team when required.
• Adhere to regulatory requirements and conduct expectations.
