Job summary

Norgine is seeking an experienced Head of Trademarks in the UK to lead the global trademark strategy, protect and maximise the value of the portfolio, and provide strategic IP advice across commercial, business development and product teams. This hybrid role, based in Uxbridge and reporting to the LCS team, includes leadership, budget governance and coordination of external counsel as needed.

Qualifications

• Qualified Trademark professional with PQE experience managing global trademark portfolios in a regulated industry.
• Proven experience in trademark law, brand protection, enforcement strategies and IP risk management.
• Proven ability to provide commercially focused legal advice to senior stakeholders across multiple functions.
• Experience managing contentious trademark matters, disputes and external legal advisers.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of building high-performing teams and developing talent.
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management across international environments.
• Proven ability to mentor, coach and develop junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement global trademark protection, enforcement and portfolio management strategy.
• Provide specialist trademark advice on brand clearance, freedom-to-use assessments and product launches.
• Lead trademark disputes, oppositions, infringement matters and coordinate external counsel.
• Support commercial agreements, licensing and partnerships to ensure IP protection.
• Supervise and coach team members, promoting accountability and collaboration.
• Oversee governance, budgets and compliance to ensure risk management.
