Job Purpose

The Global Technical Sales Manager for Practice Management Software, part of the Enterprise Solutions Team, is responsible for developing comprehensive technical concepts related to cloud-based Practice Management Software and value-added software services for various customer segments within the Straumann group. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science or a related technical field, combined with a passion for sales and customer engagement. This role requires blending technical expertise with sales skills to effectively communicate the value of software solutions to clients.

Responsibilities include creating technical concepts, deploying and securing customer solutions, and contributing to the sales process of large global software projects. The role involves collaborating with development partners, global practice management teams, and local organizations to establish scalable software delivery, implementation, and rollout strategies.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a framework to create comprehensive technical concepts and integration requirements, ensuring compliance with enterprise security standards for practice management and business intelligence software solutions in dentistry.
  • Provide technical support during sales and requirement qualification processes, especially for large IT software projects involving more than 15 practices.
  • Coordinate project stakeholders on customer and partner sides to ensure successful realization of technical concepts during implementation.
  • Participate in global marketing and sales activities, including creating reference projects, customer visits, and marketing collateral.

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
  • Experience in technical, cloud-based software sales, security concept development, and IT integration in medical or dental industries within an enterprise environment.
  • Experience managing complex end-to-end software implementation projects.
  • Knowledge of practice operations, workflow management, and data-driven business intelligence is highly preferred.
  • Understanding of healthcare standards such as IHE, DICOM, HL7, FHIR, and cloud/SaaS requirements.
  • Strong quality focus, customer service skills, and experience working in a global matrix organization.
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
