The opportunity

Hitachi Energy’s Grid Automation (GA) business unit is seeking a Global Technical Portfolio Marketing Manager for its Global Product Group (GPG), Automation & Communication (AC). The GPG offers a broad portfolio of products, systems, and services for substation and distribution automation, as well as communications networks, serving electric utilities, industrial, and transportation customers. Our solutions combine deep domain knowledge and innovative technologies to help customers optimize critical systems that power, move, and connect us.

How You’ll Make An Impact
  • Marketing Strategy and Leadership: Define, launch, and oversee the global marketing strategy for the AC GPG, aligning with business priorities and market conditions.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Build relationships with product, sales, and business development leaders to drive alignment and support growth targets.
  • Content and Marketing Mix: Develop content strategies leveraging the portfolio’s value proposition to support activities like website content, customer references, messaging, personas, and competitive insights.
  • Portfolio Positioning: Develop and recommend positioning and promotional strategies to maximize long-term market share.
  • Performance Evaluation: Lead the assessment of marketing investments and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Product Launching: Lead product launch strategies, ensuring alignment with go-to-market plans.
  • KPI Monitoring: Use data-driven insights to define and monitor KPIs, optimizing strategies based on performance and market changes.
Your background
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business with 10-12 years’ experience in product management, technical sales, or marketing, with strong technical knowledge in industrial automation and communications.
  • Excellent English writing and presentation skills; ability to analyze scientific, financial, and legal documents.
  • Experience analyzing marketing and sales data, using metrics for decision-making. Proficiency with Salesforce, Adobe Experience Manager, Power BI, and similar tools.
  • Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, global, matrixed organization.
