Overall Purpose of Job:

This role supports the management and coordination of key talent, succession, and promotion processes globally, liaising directly with colleagues in EMEA, Americas, APAC, and Tokyo.

This role is responsible for oversight and execution of end-to-end talent processes, driving a One MUFG mindset, advising HR colleagues on best practices, conducting reporting, analysis, and process improvements to support talent identification and development for a high-performing organization.

Essential Functions:

Talent & Promotion

  • Project management of global talent timelines and calendars, including reviews and promotion processes, ensuring alignment with HR and business cycles.
  • Management of global talent process documentation, policies, and procedures. Identify opportunities to improve MUFG’s approach and align regions to standard processes for efficiency and global review capabilities.
  • Oversight of talent processes, outputs, and MI in systems like Workday and Anaplan to ensure effective processes and reporting.
  • Analysis of talent, succession, and promotion data to support management decisions and talent development actions.
  • Support creation of presentation materials for HR and business stakeholders; deliver briefings for talent and development planning.
  • Build relationships with HRBPs to provide first point of contact for talent queries, ensuring process adherence and stakeholder engagement.
  • Engage with business leaders for talent reviews as needed.
  • Lead initiatives supporting talent development, including career and mobility programs, and providing insights for talent programs.
  • Deliver global development plans, from system implementation to training and upskilling.
  • Manage communications and initiatives related to career progression, including "Own Your Career" Week and development sessions.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to promote internal opportunities and increase internal hiring rates.

Projects & Talent BAU

  • Lead or support various talent projects and global enhancements.

Work Experience

  • Experience with talent processes, either through COE or HRBP roles.
  • Project management experience with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience in a multinational matrix organization.
