Job summary

Meraki Talent is seeking an experienced Compliance leader to join as a senior figure in a newly created role focused on Surveillance oversight. The role sits in the second line of defence, ensuring independent oversight of the global surveillance function across markets and jurisdictions.

You will establish oversight standards, challenge first line activities, and help align surveillance arrangements with evolving regulatory expectations and business needs.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in providing independent oversight of Surveillance or Market Abuse controls.
• Strong understanding of global regulatory expectations relating to Market Abuse and surveillance governance.
• Proven experience designing assurance reviews, control assessments and governance oversight programmes.
• Experience owning or overseeing enterprise-wide policies and regulatory standards.
• Executive presence with ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent second line oversight of the global surveillance framework across markets and jurisdictions.
• Evaluate surveillance coverage across trading activity and monitoring, adapting as products and markets evolve.
• Oversee management of surveillance risks, issues and remediation activities.
