Job Description
Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in our dynamic Supply Chain Planning team in Manchester? We are seeking a talented Global Supply Chain Planner to manage the end-to-end supply chain for some of our active ingredient families, with an average portfolio of $200 million inventory value, providing options to meet commercial upsides and downsides.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage the overall supply/demand balance for the respective portfolio by reviewing sales forecasts, AI net demands, and creating balanced production and purchase plans for the planning horizon.
- Evaluate proposed supply plans and proactively identify demand uncertainties and future supply constraints to develop options and scenarios, ensuring optimized future supply plans.
- Coordinate operations across the end-to-end supply chain to balance inventory levels and customer service.
- Maintain planning system master data quality and system parameters to ensure high-quality automated supply plan generation.
- Use financial metrics to optimize cash management when balancing inventory, production, purchases, and logistics decisions.
- Contribute to and coordinate supply chain redesign activities in collaboration with supply chain teams.
- Manage sales and inventory reporting; support the AI planning team with monthly reporting and develop KPI dashboards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Mathematics, Logistics, Science, or Engineering.
- Experience analyzing data to improve operational efficiency.
- Innovative problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of Supply Chain Planning processes is advantageous.
- Proficiency in ERP and advanced planning systems is advantageous.
- Expert-level skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, dashboards).
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
Additional Information
The role is based at our Global Operations Centre in Didsbury, near Manchester. It involves a hybrid work model with 2-3 days in the office and remote work for the remainder. The site supports worldwide operations, providing a dynamic, inclusive, and agile environment.
What We Offer
- Salary of £52,000 to £62,000 per annum, depending on experience.
