Job summary

Orion Electrotech is seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer in Oxford to lead supplier quality across the lifecycle, from development to production. You will collaborate with procurement, engineering and manufacturing to ensure robust processes and continuous improvement.

The role focuses on developing supplier capability, supporting new product introductions, and ensuring suppliers meet quality, delivery and operational standards through audits, PPAP reviews and problem solving.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing or related discipline.
• Experience in Supplier Quality, Supplier Development or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Strong understanding of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA and SPC.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical quality lead for a portfolio of suppliers alongside Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing and Programme teams.
• Develop and improve supplier manufacturing capability and process robustness.
• Drive supplier performance across quality, delivery, capacity and process capability.
