Job summary

ASTEMO UK, LTD. seeks a Quality Management professional to lead supplier quality initiatives. You will drive supplier audits, APQP processes and NPI/PPAP approvals within a challenging automotive supply context.

You will coordinate with Procurement, Development and Production to ensure ongoing supplier performance and compliance. A background in automotive quality systems and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

In-depth knowledge of automotive standards and quality techniques, especially IATF 16949 and APQP tools.
Qualifications: HNC / HND Electrical / Mechanical Engineering as a minimum. Qualified IATF/VDA 6.3 auditor
3 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within automotive, or related high-volume manufacturing

Responsibilities

New Supplier Approval: support procurement with audits to qualify new suppliers during selection.
Supplier NPI: manage suppliers through New Product Introduction and PPAP approval.
Ongoing Supplier Approval: schedule and conduct audits to maintain supplier approval based on risk.
Supplier development and training: deploy Astemo Supplier Quality Manual and train suppliers to meet standards.
Supplier visits: attend audits, development, and CAPA follow-up as needed.
Supplier interface: be the voice of Astemo to suppliers and vice versa on quality topics.
Quality KPI & reporting: monitor supplier KPI’s and drive improvements with suppliers.
Corrective action: liaise with suppliers and internal teams to manage CAPA.
Change management: manage QA tasks through supplier changes.
Supplier defects: manage supplier rejects as required by business
