Job Description:

AECOM is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to join our Global Procurement team to work across geographical boundaries supporting different categories of indirect spend. We’re looking for someone with experience in procuring services and driving change in a decentralized organization where procurement’s influence is growing. The role requires a data-driven approach to procurement and suits a results-oriented self-starter with a strategic mindset, capable of considering different sourcing strategies based on the needs of the spend area and geographies involved. The person will enjoy working with diverse international teams.

Key responsibilities of the role:
  1. Supporting AECOM’s Think & Act Global strategy, developing new category sourcing strategies across multiple countries/regions.
  2. Identifying new cost-saving opportunities and considering sourcing strategies from renegotiation to full RFP processes.
  3. Analyzing demand and supply using data to leverage common spend across geographies via alternative supply approaches.
  4. Leading strategic sourcing projects, managing Rfx processes, and ensuring contracts deliver cost savings and quality improvements.
  5. Planning commercial outcomes at project start, including baseline and forecast spend, sourcing strategies, and targeted savings.
  6. Developing strategic partnerships with key stakeholders across AECOM’s global business, establishing trust in Strategic Sourcing.
  7. Utilizing procurement technology and data to enhance sourcing efficiency and stakeholder service quality.
  8. Supporting supplier relationship management for strategic suppliers, using KPIs and performance escalation where needed.
  9. Working with Source-to-Pay process owners to improve procurement efficiencies, including purchase order compliance and workflow.
  10. Contributing to the development and capability building of the Global Procurement team by sharing best practices.
Qualifications:
  1. BA/BS degree plus at least 6 years of relevant experience or equivalent experience/education.
  2. Strong strategic sourcing skills: data analysis, opportunity assessment, Rfx/tender management, negotiation, contract drafting.
  3. Commercial acumen with experience in various indirect spend categories and cost savings.
  4. Proven track record of cost savings from strategic sourcing and tactical activities.
  5. Ability to engage global stakeholders and build rapport.
  6. Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with awareness of regional and cultural differences.
