Job summary

tms is seeking a Sourcing Buyer to join its global procurement team based in London. The role operates in a hybrid workplace, offering exposure to packaging and operational supply categories and a focus on delivering cost savings and value creation.

You will lead sourcing events (RFx), analyse proposals, negotiate contracts, and collaborate with stakeholders across regions to ensure quality, continuity, and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain or a related commercial discipline.
• Experience managing RFx processes and supplier negotiations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of sourcing and procurement principles.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and effective project management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and procurement technology platforms.
• Experience working within global or multi-regional sourcing environments.
• Experience sourcing packaging, operational supplies or indirect procurement categories.
• Experience using e-procurement platforms such as iValua, Coupa, Ariba or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of sourcing events across multiple packaging and ops supply categories.
• Develop sourcing strategies and execute competitive sourcing events (RFI, RFQ, RFP).
• Analyse supplier proposals, market trends and cost drivers to develop commercial recommendations.
• Support commercial negotiations and contract development in partnership with Sourcing Managers and stakeholders.
• Draft, issue and manage contracts through our e-procurement platform.
• Identify and deliver cost saving, cost avoidance and value engineering opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align sourcing activities with customer requirements and business objectives.
• Leverage e-procurement systems and sourcing tools to manage events, documentation and reporting.
• Support sourcing process improvement initiatives and contribute to digital procurement transformation projects.
• Maintain accurate sourcing, supplier and contract records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
