Job summary

develop is seeking a Global Category Head for Soft Commodities to own the global strategy and supplier relationships in a highly autonomous role. You will influence regional teams, work with R&D, Operations and Finance, and drive cost savings and sustainability initiatives across a major commodity book.

The role offers significant travel to suppliers and factories, with a hybrid work pattern (3 days in the office, 2 from home) based in West London and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Experience in global soft commodities procurement.
• Strong category management and strategic sourcing skills.
• Excellent stakeholder influence and communication.

Responsibilities

• Own the global category strategy across soft commodities.
• Develop and execute 2–3 year sourcing plans.
• Monitor markets, pricing dynamics and supply risks.
• Lead supplier negotiations and framework agreements.
• Drive productivity, cost savings and value creation.
• Support hedging and commodity coverage strategies.
• Drive sustainability initiatives across CO2, deforestation and responsible sourcing.
• Improve working capital and cash flow, influence regional teams.
