Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb UK is seeking a senior Site Contracting Strategy and Governance leader to drive negotiation of site contracts and budgets, while upholding global standards and governance across regions.

You will mentor the team, develop master agreements and fallback language, and collaborate with global colleagues to ensure compliance and efficiency. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Life Sciences, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of direct clinical contract negotiation experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience in leading teams and managing complex projects.
• Certifications in contract management or legal compliance (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of site contracts and budgets with investigators and institutions.
• Develop, negotiate, and oversee site- and country-level budgets, aligning with global standards.
• Develop and execute global strategies to drive efficiencies and accelerate contract negotiations.
• Manage the study-level contracting strategy to enable faster site activation and enrolment.
• Serve as the final escalation point for legal and budget queries from site contracting operations.
• Collaborate with global colleagues and external partners to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Monitor budgets and contract status, providing updates to project teams and leadership.
• Develop and maintain negotiation templates, decision histories, and fallback language libraries.
• Assure all terms comply with corporate processes and policies.
• Identify, drive, and implement process improvements, including automation and governance enhancements.
• Escalate significant legal or financial risks and ensure timely resolution.
