On Target Earnings: Up to £65,000 per annum for your first year working approximately 180 days

Are you a skilled Crane Engineer ready to take your expertise beyond the workshop and into some of the world’s most demanding environments? We’re recruiting for a Service Technicians to join the Flying Squad of a global leader in crane and lifting equipment solutions – supporting critical operations across oil & gas, marine, ports, and heavy industries.
This is a hands-on role for engineers who thrive in high-responsibility settings – from heavy plant operations onshore to large-scale offshore installations. If you’re ready for a role that combines technical challenge, variety, and international travel, read on.
Commissioning, servicing, inspecting, and maintaining cranes and lifting equipment across a variety of client sites – onshore, offshore, and occasionally overseas.
Troubleshooting and repairing electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on large-scale lifting and plant machinery.
Working with leading crane systems including Liebherr, Gottwald, and similar brands.
Interpreting and applying engineering schematics to real-world problem-solving.
Delivering professional, detailed service reports for every job.
Supporting rigging, lift planning, and ensuring strict HSEQ compliance at all times.
Acting as a technical ambassador on-site, collaborating with client teams and ensuring safe, efficient operations.
Travelling internationally for training, project support, or emergency callouts.
Time-served apprenticeship in Electrical, Mechanical, or Hydraulic Engineering.
Proven experience in the crane, lifting equipment, or heavy plant industry.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills on electro-mechanical and hydro-mechanical systems.
Confident working at height and in offshore conditions.
Offshore certification (BOSIET & MIST) ideal, also offered as part of onboarding.
Familiar with load monitoring and safety systems such as MIPEG or PAT.
IT literate and capable of producing accurate, professional reports.
Holds a valid UK or Irish driving licence.
