Location: Jealott’s Hill, UK or other European countries including Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Romania, Slovakia, or Spain.

Job Description:

As a Global Senior Consumer Safety and Metabolism Technical Expert, you will contribute to multiple projects related to the consumer safety of Syngenta products. Your responsibilities include providing technical expertise, supporting global and regional registrations, ensuring regulatory compliance, developing a regulatory knowledge database, and collaborating with stakeholders.

The role requires proactive communication, problem-solving, efficient project management, timely escalation of issues, and leveraging digital innovation within the regulatory landscape.

Accountabilities:

• Manage global PLCM projects within Syngenta's Product Safety Portfolio, ensuring proper specification, assessment, review, and timely delivery using project management methodologies.
• Provide senior technical expertise in consumer safety, metabolism, and analytical science. Develop risk assessments and regulatory documentation for worldwide registration activities.
• Maintain an effective network within the global regulatory community and Product Safety teams to ensure transparency on safety positions.
• Develop and maintain a product safety database, exploring digital tools to enhance management and access.
• Influence technical and regulatory strategies, proposing innovative solutions to improve processes.
• Support the creation and maintenance of technical guidance documents.
• Assess third-party products for compliance with standards.

Qualifications:

• Master’s or PhD in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Science, or related fields, preferably with postgraduate qualifications.
• Experience in a technical discipline with risk assessment and product registration knowledge.
• Familiarity with global registration requirements.
• Proven project management, relationship-building, and team collaboration skills.
• Experience with digital tools and solutions to improve efficiency.
• Understanding of digital innovation trends in regulatory and scientific fields.
• Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills; additional languages are an advantage.
• Good judgment, self-management, and escalation skills.
• Negotiating and influencing skills.
