Job summary

EDAG Engineering UK is seeking a Seating system Module Leader to drive cross-functional program delivery for the seating system of a vehicle programme. You will own domain-specific design for manufacture, supplier management, and compliance, reporting to the vehicle development organisation.

You will lead engineering and cross-functional teams, manage DFMEA, validate tests (virtual and physical), and ensure targets for quality, weight, cost and timing are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 8+ years in Seating Systems engineering with strong knowledge of seat components.
• Strong PM skills with ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Experience delivering automotive systems through concept to production.
• Experience with prototype and pre-series builds and issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Domain ownership for seating system, collaborating with Design, Vehicle Engineering, Styling and Manufacturing teams.
• Provide DFM guidance and manufacturability support.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and engineering standards.
• Manage system BOM and ECR/ECN process.
• Define, capture and manage validation testing and documentation (virtual and physical).
• Deliver system targets for quality, weight, cost, timing and vehicle attributes.
• Maintain system-level deliverables and documentation at each milestone.
• Coordinate DFMEA activities with cross-functional teams and mitigations.
• Interface between engineering and wider vehicle development organisation; manage deliverables per RASIC.
• Plan domain-specific projects, supplier management, programme delivery and budget.
