Global SDVM Design Manager

Department: Visual Merchandising and Store Design

Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time

Description
As the Store Design & Visual Merchandising Design Manager, you will be responsible for translating our brand DNA into inspiring, premium physical environments and in-store visuals. This role encompasses spatial and graphic design, creative development, and execution of our global retail environments. You’ll lead store and fixture design, develop compelling visual merchandising concepts, manage graphic design elements for in-store communication, and oversee external design and creative agencies.

Key Responsibilities
Store Design & Development
  • Lead the design and development of new stores, concessions, and pop-up spaces globally.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and retail partners to ensure on-time and on-brand execution.
  • Source and develop store fixtures and materials aligned with brand aesthetics and sustainability goals.
Visual Merchandising
  • Design and implement seasonal VM concepts, planograms, and guidelines across stores and concessions globally.
  • Oversee visual storytelling for product launches, promotions, and campaign activations.
  • Ensure consistency in presentation and product hierarchy across all physical retail locations.
  • Work closely with retail and marketing teams to train store teams and execute rollouts.
  • Manage VM toolkits, planograms, and training for internal retail teams and partners.
  • Oversee VM rollouts for product launches, campaigns, and special events.
Graphic Design & Brand Communication
  • Develop in-store graphics, signage, POS materials, and digital screens in collaboration with the brand design team.
  • Ensure brand visual language is consistent across physical and digital retail environments.
  • Support campaign localisation and adaptation of global toolkits for regional execution.
Agency & Project Management
  • Manage external design and VM agencies, creative studios, and freelancers for spatial, graphic, and visual design projects.
  • Oversee briefing, concept development, feedback rounds, and final approvals.
  • Maintain timelines, budgets, and high-quality output across multiple concurrent projects.

The Perfect Candidate
  • 5+ years in store design and/or visual merchandising within a premium or luxury retail environment (beauty or fashion preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of spatial design, visual merchandising, materials, and visual storytelling.
  • Proficient in design tools such as SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D rendering software.
  • Exceptional project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong aesthetic sensibility aligned with premium/luxury brand values.
  • Understanding of sustainability and innovation in store design a plus.
