About Our Client

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Export Director for a market leading manufacturer of engineered construction products to continue the company's growth strategy outside of their established UK region, developing their global markets.

The business and wider group have a long-standing heritage of excellence in the manufacture and supply of a variety of products dating back to the mid-20th century. All of their businesses hold strong positions and brands in their individual specialist markets.

Job Description

  • Create and implement a robust export sales strategy to secure and increase share of their export markets, demonstrated through positive sales growth and increased profit margins.
  • Lead remote sales teams based outside of the UK, including in the Middle East, Asia, and the Americas.
  • Represent the business externally by building strategic relationships and training key local distributors across the export region.
  • Work within a project-based technical sales role focusing on infrastructure projects where their products are used across the built environment, including commercial buildings, airports, ports, warehouses, and for new build and refurbishment projects.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for business growth across international markets, adding new specialist distributors as needed.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience working for UK-based manufacturing companies that have expanded internationally, preferably within the Building Products or Civil Products sectors.
  • Proven ability to develop strong, sustainable customer relationships and provide value-added solutions.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with a track record of recruiting, mentoring, and developing successful international teams.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and experience working in multi-cultural environments is essential.
