Job description

Position: Division Global Sales & Business Development Leader – Clutches & Brakes Division

Reports To: Clutch & Brake Division Sr. VP & GM

Location: Europe or North America

Scope of Leadership Role:

The Clutches & Brakes Division of the Industrial Powertrain Solutions (IPS) Segment is seeking a Global Sales & Business Development Leader to drive the profitable growth of a $650M global business across all strategic vertical markets and regions. The role oversees a team of BDM specialists who develop relationships in new market segments and support new product launches, aligned with the global sales organization. The position also involves developing training and competency building for the clutch and brake portfolio within the global IPS sales team, in collaboration with the IPS commercial excellence team.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for C&B global Sales & BDM Performance:
  • Manage sales of C&B products in designated markets, directly or through the RRX Commercial Sales organization. This includes cross-selling from applicable group plants to end users, distributors, contractors, and OEMs globally and locally.
  • Collaborate with key C&B personnel to align market strategies, including Brand, Marketing, Product Management, Finance, Engineering, and Design.
  • Secure customer specifications and preferences for Regal Rexnord's full Clutches & Brakes portfolio in target markets.
  • Oversee sales responsibilities over specialized distribution channels.
Interface with the global Matrixed Sales Organization:
  • Drive profitable share gains at key accounts, segments, regions, and with specific portions of the Rexnord portfolio.
  • Coordinate share gain activities at top global strategic accounts and support SAE/AE activities to grow share at new strategic accounts.
  • Partner with Commercial Operations to standardize procedures in Salesforce for activity tracking related to share growth.
  • Manage and expand the top account opportunity funnel, leveraging new products and past successes.
  • Assist SAE's/AE's in strategic account initiatives, ensuring alignment across functions.
  • Develop strategic relationships with high-growth/complex end users.
  • Collaborate with the field service team to increase capacity and product sales.
  • Serve as Regal Rexnord's solutions expert, leading technical presentations and specification influence activities, becoming a trusted advisor.
  • Create customer value propositions using a value-based methodology, deploying them across various customer-facing channels and sales enablement tools.
  • Provide technical support to sales teams, channel partners, and capture Voice-of-Customer insights for new product development.
Leadership over the BDM Team:
  • Manage a team of approximately 10 Business Development Managers responsible for global markets and regional sales.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management.
  • Utilize a business calendar to manage sales performance, including meetings, strategy sessions, and operational planning.
Sales Strategic Planning and Organizational Alignment:
  • Contribute to and execute go-to-market strategies and growth initiatives.
  • Partner with senior leadership on strategy development.
  • Define strategies for OEMs and vertical markets.
  • Participate in product planning, roadmaps, and regional market analysis.
  • Manage strategic database releases and coordinate with engineering and marketing teams.
  • Conduct strategic review sessions with central sales teams.
Professional Experience & Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical experience.
