Job summary

Viatris in Hatfield, UK is seeking a Director of Safety Surveillance & Risk Management to lead global pharmacovigilance activities with medical safety expertise and regulatory alignment. The role emphasizes timely PSUR, RMP and signal management, and training for PV staff.

You will coordinate PSURs and ACOs, manage Risk Management Plans, oversee signal detection, contribute to product information updates, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• M.B.B.S/MD/BDS or equivalent medical degree.
• Extensive years of experience within pharmacovigilance as a drug safety physician.
• Excellent time management and ability to work to tight timelines.
• Ability to manage own workload and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Act as Medical Safety Expert for Viatris medicinal products.
• Coordinate PSURs and Addendum to Clinical Overview (ACO) activities with timelines.
• Coordinate Risk Management Plans (RMP) activities with data collection and reviews.
• Coordinate Signal Management activities including detection and escalation.
• Assist in CCDS development, RSI maintenance, and health authority responses.
• Provide medical safety input into MRAs and product information updates.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on PV tasks.
• Provide medical safety training to PV staff as needed.
