Job description

The Role

The Global Resource Manager will oversee and optimise resource operations across nine client studio locations, acting as the central hub for resource management, key talent identification, and surge capacity management for one of our global clients.

This role requires a deep understanding of the creative and integrated marketing process, a keen eye for talent, a clear understanding of skill and project requirements and a passion for scaling creative ideas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build a highly functioning network of Resource Managers in each region: Build, train, engage a community of Resource Managers in each of the regions, define and establish processes and rituals across that client network to facilitate seamless resource mapping and management of forecasting.

  • Establish the surge capacity and ongoing resource management process: Work with the Operations leadership and regional teams to define and establish the process and its adoption across the client network.

  • Track Global Needs: Monitor and evaluate resource demands across all locations, ensuring alignment and efficiency. Proactively identify and anticipate future resource needs and support the identification of big opportunities requiring internal investment and resourcing.

  • Talent Scouting: Identify, nurture, and onboard top-tier creative talent within and beyond the network, empowering the flexible talent model and ensuring access to the best skillsets and resources to brief needs. Develop and maintain a talent pool for quick access to specialised skills.

  • Resource & brief Oversight: Oversee the flow of incoming and outgoing briefs across regions. Implement processes for brief quality control and efficient distribution.

  • Resource Optimisation: Collaborate with various operations leads and resource managers in each region as well as other WPP agencies to allocate resources effectively globally, maximising impact while balancing workload and budgets. Develop and implement resource allocation strategies that optimise utilisation and project timelines.

  • Resource Operations Optimisation: Oversee and optimize resource operations across all nine studios, ensuring efficient workflows, best practice implementation, and continuous improvement.

  • Work with regional teams to provide an early view of talent requirements.

  • Manage the regularly engaged network community of creative leads to drive the free flow of creative ideas and best practices.

  • Resource Management & Talent: Develop and implement a global resource management plan that addresses talent needs across all locations. Support the talent onboarding process for the Flex resources. Track and report on resource utilisation and identify areas for improvement.

  • Proven experience in global resource management within an agency environment.

  • Experienced in resource operations management positions within cross cultural international companies that build complex, global, scalable teams to develop big, bold and brave ideas

  • Strong understanding of creative and operational processes and the ability to recognise exceptional

  • talent.

  • A genuine passion for creativity and the pursuit of scaling ideas.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex, and global environment.

  • Experience working with or within large, multinational organisations is preferred.
