Job summary

Illumina Cambridge is seeking a seasoned Regulatory Legal Counsel to guide regulatory strategy across EMEA and Latin America. You will advise on EU/UK medical device and IVD frameworks, review commercial materials, and support product lifecycle from development to post‑market.

Based in the UK, you will partner with Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Medical Affairs and Commercial teams to enable compliant product development, localization, and market access for innovative genomic technologies.

Qualifications

Seasoned regulatory lawyer with deep expertise in medical devices, diagnostics, or life sciences regulation.
Experience advising on EU/UK medical device and IVDR frameworks.
In-house or law firm experience with regulatory clients preferred.
Fluency in English; additional languages a plus.
Experience supporting international teams in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

Provide regulatory legal advisory and strategy across EMEA and Latin America for medical devices, diagnostics, and life science products.
Interpret EU/UK regulatory frameworks and advise on country-specific requirements and cross‑border implications.
Review labeling, promotional materials, and contracts to ensure regulatory compliance.
Support product lifecycle, submissions, and post‑market obligations across regions.
Coordinate with external counsel and cross‑functional teams on regulatory matters and audits.
