Job summary

Forge Talent are supporting a growing global business with a newly created Purchase Ledger Clerk role in a hybrid working environment in the UK. You will own end-to-end payables, process POs and vendor invoices, and manage multi-currency payments for blue-chip suppliers.

Ideal candidates have prior end-to-end Purchase Ledger experience, strong Excel skills, and excellent communication abilities. You will work within a fast-paced team, with opportunities to develop within the ledger and finance

Qualifications

• Previous end-to-end Purchase Ledger experience.
• Experience with blue-chip clients in a global business environment is advantageous.
• Ability to manage a high volume of transactional processing accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent time management and prioritisation in line with business needs.
• High accuracy with a right-first-time approach.
• Able to work well in a team or independently as required.
• Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills and strong system proficiency.
• Ability to start on a reduced notice period is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Processing and inputting a high volume of overhead invoices, ensuring accuracy.
• Processing Purchase Order related invoices, verifying items and volumes.
• Processing weekly and monthly supplier payments in multiple currencies; same-day payments as required.
• Completing regular supplier statement reconciliations and requesting missing invoices as needed.
• Liaising with suppliers and clients via telephone and email to resolve queries.
• Supporting wider finance team and audit processes.
