Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Director, Global Public Affairs to drive strategic public affairs initiatives across Oncology, Immunology and Neuroscience within J&J Innovative Medicine. This hybrid role is available across multiple locations, including the UK and US, to advance policy priorities and stakeholder engagement.

The leader will develop multichannel strategies, align external affairs with communications, and influence senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Political Science, Policy, Public Relations, Government, Community Affairs, Communications or closely related field
• Master’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in public affairs, politics, policy communications or advocacy; global or market-level experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Build proactive multichannel public affairs plans aligning policy priorities with advocacy and communications
• Advise Therapeutic Area leadership translating business priorities into external affairs strategies
• Build external relationships with policy influencers, patient groups, KOLs, think tanks and coalitions
• Monitor public policy landscape, including pricing, reimbursement, site-of-care, and health equity
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of external affairs with communications and policy
• Integrate public affairs activities with media relations and policy efforts
• Provide strategic counsel on public policy, advocacy positioning and external engagement
• Contribute to executive visibility through speaking engagements and media interactions
• Stay ahead of industry trends to adapt strategies for evolving science and market dynamics
• Support crisis communications and issues management for the portfolio
