What You'll Do

We are seeking a Senior Sourcing & Vendor Manager who will be responsible for leading category and vendor management capabilities supporting the IT and Digital Products functions at BCG.

This role will sit within our Procurement organization but be fully dedicated to supporting the IT Platform Engineering organization for at least the first 18–24 months. The role will be accountable for driving a long-term category strategy, managing over 300 vendors, and ensuring strong alignment with delivery leadership. It will work collaboratively with the IT VMO and other functions across the vendor lifecycle.

The responsibilities include:

  • Category management, strategic sourcing, renewals, vendor consolidation, supporting vendor management programs, and proactive commercial management to unlock cost savings and operational efficiency.
  • Capturing, centralizing, and consolidating resource forecasts, project demand, and roadmap plans into vendor requirements.
  • Partnering with Platform Engineering and IT leadership to drive sourcing strategies that improve vendor management governance, processes, delivery models, reduce risks, and enhance vendor performance.
  • Establishing and executing sourcing, negotiation, and contracting plans with clear outcomes and milestones.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, including negotiations, onboarding, and engagement strategies.
  • Supporting vendor relationship management, including performance and risk management.
  • Leading budgeting and financial analysis initiatives to optimize vendor investments and ensure value realization.
  • Providing support for Quarterly Business Reviews with key suppliers and presenting insights to leadership.
  • Evaluating and refining processes related to sourcing, supplier engagement, and contracting.
  • Leading or contributing to cross-functional initiatives to enhance IT capabilities and processes.

What You'll Bring

  • 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or vendor management, preferably in a high-growth, technology-driven environment.
  • Proven leadership in driving innovation in category and vendor strategies, with deep experience in IT supplier ecosystems and contracting models.
  • Skilled negotiator with strong stakeholder engagement and presentation skills.
  • Excellent project management skills, self-directed, and comfortable navigating ambiguity.
  • Knowledge of vendor management platforms and tools is helpful.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or technical degree preferred.
