Job summary

We Are Zenith in Westhill, UK is seeking a capable Buyer to support daily purchasing activities across our global operations. You will work with requestors, internal departments and suppliers to source goods and services needed to keep operations running smoothly.

The role rewards practical procurement experience, strong communication and the ability to balance competing priorities while adhering to company processes and governance.

Qualifications

• Experience in buying, procurement or related supply chain role.
• Strong written and verbal communication; collaborative and customer-focused.
• Experience using an ERP or purchasing system; Oracle familiarity advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support sourcing and purchasing activity; seek cost-effective solutions.
• Review requisitions, specs and RFQ for completeness and governance.
• Keep stakeholders informed of requisition progress and issues.
• Use approved suppliers and consolidate orders to reduce transactions.
• Review and negotiate supplier quotations for best cost, quality, delivery.
• Progress open requisitions and meet deadlines with stakeholders.
• Resolve purchasing and delivery issues, including invoice discrepancies.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Project Management, Logistics, Contracts, Operations, Finance and Expediting.
• Follow quality, health & safety, environmental and security requirements.
