Job summary

The Language Business in Watford, near London, seeks a Procurement Specialist to manage the full international procurement process from enquiry through supplier sourcing, quotation, negotiation and order placement. You will collaborate with customers, suppliers and internal teams to deliver competitive sourcing solutions and ensure timely delivery.

The role emphasizes building long-term supplier relationships, price negotiation, and providing strong customer service across global engineering

Qualifications

• Experience in customer services, client relationships, account management or buying/procurement roles.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and time management.

Responsibilities

• Source products from UK and international suppliers.
• Build and develop supplier and customer relationships.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, lead times and delivery schedules.
• Prepare accurate and competitive quotations for customers.
• Manage purchase orders through to successful completion.
• Analyse technical customer requirements and identify sourcing solutions.
• Challenge supplier pricing to maximise value and profitability.
• Provide technical and commercial support to customers and suppliers.
• Work with Sales, Operations and Finance to ensure excellent service.
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications and procurement procedures.
