Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is offering a 12-month Global Procurement Industrial Placement in Peterborough. You will gain exposure to facility and product procurement, supplier management, and cost analytics while working with a global procurement team.

You’ll receive structured training, mentoring, and real responsibilities on live projects. The programme targets penultimate-year students from diverse backgrounds with strong analytical and communication skills and a 2:2 or higher in relevant fields.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and presentation skills.
• Ability to communicate at all levels.
• On track to achieve a 2:2 in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics or Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Facility Procurement – supporting Supply Chain and Quality departments to improve supplier performance.
• Product Procurement – supporting New Product Introduction programmes.
• Category Procurement – supplier relationship and performance management of engine component suppliers.
• Cost Centre of Excellence – development of data analytics to support optimised product cost.
