Job summary

Amazon UK Services Ltd. is seeking a data engineer to build scalable data solutions for global procurement analytics. You will design ETL/ELT pipelines, model supplier data, and enable trusted data for AI-driven decision making across multiple regions.

You will collaborate with software engineers, scientists, and product managers to translate business requirements into robust, scalable data platforms and explore AI tooling for data workflows within an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a data engineer or related specialty with a track record of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large datasets.
• Experience delivering end-to-end projects independently.
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines.
• Experience with SQL.
• Experience with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc.
• Programming in at least one modern language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, etc.).
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data models for procurement analytics and supplier data repository.
• Create logical and physical data models across large datasets from multiple sources.
• Build self-service data infrastructure and curated datasets for BI engineers and data scientists.
• Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and product managers to translate requirements into high-performing data solutions.
• Evaluate generative AI tooling for data workflows where appropriate.
