Global Private Client Director - Rare & Luxury Whisky, Bournemouth

Denholm is delighted to partner with an independent rare whisky business to hire a Global Private Client Director to lead and execute the company’s commercial strategy.

Our client works directly and exclusively with world-class whisky brand owners and producers. They specialise in advising high-net-worth private clients, family offices, and funds on the acquisition, disposal, and verification of rare single malt whisky for collecting, drinking, and gifting. They provide clients with D2C sales, authenticity, provenance, and quality assurance. They pride themselves on customer service and offer additional services such as project management, verification, portfolio management, and whisky experiences.

Working on a hybrid home/office basis in the UK, the Global Private Client Director is responsible for identifying, onboarding, and managing ultra-high-net-worth individuals globally, focusing on rare whisky as a passion asset. This client-facing, entrepreneurial role requires a warm, knowledgeable individual with strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to close high-value cask and bottle deals through in-person advisory-based selling.

To be considered, you should have proven ability to sell to high-net-worth individuals and a deep interest in rare whisky and/or alternative assets. A track record of closing high-value deals and international experience in regions such as Asia or the US is preferred. You should be capable of creating and executing a global business development strategy.
