Job summary

Vertiv Group is seeking an EPMS + Automation Systems Engineer to design, implement, test, and maintain PLC and SCADA systems for complex projects within a global organization.

You will work with software developers, electrical engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless integration, from concept through commissioning, in diverse industries. The role requires travel for project support and a strong technical foundation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Automation, or related field.
• Experience with PLC programming languages (Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Block).
• Experience with SCADA platforms (Ignition, Wonderware, GE iFIX).
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Ethernet/IP, OPC-UA).
• Proven ability to manage and deliver projects in engineering or industrial automation.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Willingness to travel globally for project commissioning and support.

Responsibilities

• System Design and Integration: Develop PLC programs with SCADA systems.
• Prepare PLC control sequences against operation documentation.
• Create IO tag and network device databases.
• Develop and program PLC systems using major platforms.
• Configure and deploy SCADA systems for scalability and reliability.
• Gather requirements from clients and translate into technical specs.
• Collaborate with software developers to align control systems with applications.
• Troubleshoot and maintain systems to minimize downtime.
• Document configurations, diagrams, and system updates for compliance.
