The Royal Engineers recruit for plasterer and painter trades through a comprehensive Army training pathway. You will develop a trade, qualifications and an active lifestyle while contributing to major building projects around the world.

Starting salary is £27,282 per year from the start of training, with progression through staged military training and overseas postings, enabling you to gain plastering, painting and tiling skills for the civilian world.

Qualifications

• Good fitness and a strong level of physical endurance.
• GCSE English, Maths and one other subject required (A–D/9-3).

Responsibilities

• Carry out plastering, painting and tiling on Army projects.
• Work on hospital, headquarters and other building sites worldwide.
