Your role
The Director, Global Physical Security is responsible for the design, installation, commissioning, and testing of all physical protection systems worldwide, including oversight of consultants, suppliers, integrators, and logistics. The Physical Security team identifies, evaluates, and treats risks to protection systems through assessments, penetration testing, and continual design enhancements.
What you’ll do
- In partnership with Design & Construction, Security, and infrastructure stakeholders, will maintain, implement, and enhance global Physical Security standards and playbooks
- Drive the adoption and implementation of global policies, programs, and standards across all regions
- Serve as subject matter expert for all physical security designs, builds, integrations, and variance requests
- Accountable for maintaining physical security systems alignment with company, industry, and regulatory standards across all regions
- Coordinate with security and technology SMEs to ensure physical security controls are continuously deployed, tested, and enhanced to maintain the highest levels of compliance and customer service delivery
- Prepare and maintain a regular cadence of project reporting for senior and executive management via common operating tools, methods, and measurements
- Identify and implement supply chain and logistics controls to maintain resilient project delivery schedules
- Oversee and direct the deployment of consultants, systems integrators, and support vendors for timely and cost-effective delivery of projects
- Lead a team of regional managers through organizational goal setting, project budget creation, KPI and metrics management, and professional development opportunities
- Leverage departmental and regional partners to execute, analyze, and report on physical security controls, associated risks, and remediation efforts
- Maintain strong relationships with heads of internal IT, Technology, DE&C, and departmental stakeholders
- Support audit readiness, compliance efforts, industry certifications, and customer lease requirements
What you’ll need
- 5-10 years of experience managing complex, geographically diverse physical security projects in the data center or high-tech sectors
- Deep knowledge of physical access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and alarm management systems, their peripheral components, and expertise in synthesizing all into effective protection deployments
- Formal project management qualification such as CSPM, PMP, or Prince2
- Security certifications such as CPP, PSP, CISSP and/or CSE; industry certifications in AMAG, Lenel, Genetec or similar preferred
- Exceptional personal, individual, and team leadership experience, including vendors and indirect reports
- Strong business acumen with emphases in compliance, risk management, sourcing, and finance
- Highly skilled in procurement and tendering processes (SOW, requirements, RFP, IFB, vendor selection)
- Solution-oriented with a commitment to continual improvement, program maturation, and collaborative engagement in a diverse, matrixed environment
