Job summary

Darktrace in the United Kingdom is seeking a payroll administrator to join the finance team. You will support accurate and timely payroll journals, respond to queries, and update monthly SoFP/SoPL workbooks.

Responsibilities include month-end accruals, prepayments, and assisting with audits including group consolidated, parent and subsidiary audits. Strong Excel/Word skills and AAT Level 4 are required, with ACCA/CIMA progression preferred.

Qualifications

• AAT Level 4 is required and ideally progressing toward ACCA/CIMA.
• Experience in payroll or accounting within a medium/large international company is preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word is essential.
• Excellent organisation and ability to prioritise work within defined timelines.
• Strong communication with finance and non-finance staff; collaborative and proactive.
• Flexibility to meet key monthly deadlines at peak times.

Responsibilities

• Process designated payroll journals accurately and timely.
• Respond to queries related to payroll journals.
• Update and reconcile monthly SoFP and/or SoPL workbook.
• Handle month-end accruals and prepayments postings.
• Assist with audits including group consolidated, parent and subsidiary audits.
• Post benefits and payroll invoices and manage prepayment releases.
• Support ad hoc reporting (STBV, PSA and Gender Pay Gap).
