About the Role
As a Global Payroll Services Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing payroll operations across multiple countries and regions via our outsourced provider. This role requires a strong understanding of global payroll methodology, including vendor relationship management, excellent leadership and organisational skills, and the ability to navigate complex payroll scenarios across different jurisdictions.

This position is critical to ensuring our payroll services are scalable, compliant, and consistently high-quality as we continue to grow both in the UK and internationally. You will lead the delivery of payroll operations across a growing number of countries, covering payrolls, expenses, earned wage access, and employee loans. You will also play a key role in shaping the future of our Pay Services function, ensuring it supports our global workforce with accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee accurate and timely payroll processing for employees, workers, and pensioners across the UK and international jurisdictions, in line with local statutory legislation and company policies.
  • Manage relationships with outsourced payroll providers to ensure service quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead the implementation of new payroll legislation, policies, and initiatives across multiple countries with minimal disruption.
  • Ensure global expense reimbursement processes are compliant with local regulations and internal policies.
  • Deliver year-end tax documentation and statutory reporting across all supported regions.
  • Build and lead a team of payroll specialists capable of supporting multi-country payrolls and adapting to evolving global requirements.
  • Develop and maintain governance frameworks to ensure compliance with international payroll regulations and mitigate risk.
  • Drive continuous improvement and professional development within the global payroll community.
  • Provide accurate and timely payroll data and insights for inclusion in monthly KPI reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure seamless payroll operations across all supported countries.

Key Experience and Skills You Will Bring

  • Extensive hands-on experience in payroll administration, including international payroll operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK payroll legislation and exposure to payroll practices in other countries (e.g., EMEA, APAC).
  • Experience managing outsourced payroll vendors and service-level agreements.
  • Experience using ResourceLink software is essential.
  • Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, with at least some in a global or multi-country context.
  • CIPP Diploma or equivalent qualification, or qualified by experience.
  • Proficiency in digital payroll systems and reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical and Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across diverse cultures and geographies.
  • Proven people management experience, with the ability to lead remote and cross-functional teams.

As the Global Payroll Services Manager, you will be a strategic leader and operational expert, ensuring our payroll services meet the needs of a dynamic, international workforce. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver a seamless and compliant pay experience across borders. If you're ready to take on a global challenge and make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you.
